When Gerald Vega picked up a woman he spotted on the side of the road in Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday afternoon, he didn't expect she'd steal his car. He also probably never expected she'd turn out to be a man, but she did.
Vega said after he picked the woman up, he drove to a convenience store to buy a few beers. He said when he and the woman, later identified as Efrain Ybarra, 18, were drinking in a parking lot she made sexual advances on him, and he turned them down.
"I got a confession," he said he told her. "I have a girlfriend. I can't do this." Police said when he stepped out of the vehicle Ybarra stole his red Ford Focus, but crashed it minutes later at an intersection.

Police said Ybarra hit another vehicle after running through a red light. The man in that vehicle, police said, went to the hospital with minor injuries. Police said Ybarra, the man who posed as a woman could be a prostitute, but they said they are not investigating because he's already charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, a more serious crime.
