The 46-year-old man from Jilong city in Taiwan then flushed his severed organ down the toilet .
His girlfriend could only watch in horror. She rushed the man, who was bleeding profusely, to a hospital.
Three centimetres (a little more than an inch) of the man's penis remain, which allows him to urinate.

Cutting off your own penis out of anger or spite must be an Asian thing. At least all the times I've heard of these things it's always been either Chinese, Indian or Middle-Eastern men, never a Westerner. Maybe in the more individualistic West husbands don't see cutting their members as a good way to hurt the wife.
