An Aiken, South Carolina, woman is facing an attempted murder charge after police say she stabbed the man she married about two months ago.
According to an Aiken Public Safety news report, Cynthia Pruett Siau, 60, stabbed Louis Harrell Siau III, 60, in the head and back with a kitchen knife at about 10pm on Tuesday after they had been drinking and arguing about the remote control at their home. When officers arrived, they found the husband covered in blood.
Louis informed officers that he was stabbed by his wife who used a kitchen knife. He also told officers that he and his wife had been drinking beer and wine before the argument about the remote control. The suspect, Cynthia Siua, was captured at the scene, but not before a struggle.
"While these three officers were trying to place the suspect under arrest, she defecated on two of the officers, Lt. Turner and Cpl. Comer," the report reads. The officers said both the suspect and victim appeared to be highly intoxicated. Cynthia was transported to the Aiken County Detention Center, where she was booked for attempted murder.
