Man arrested following peculiar incidents at Jot-Em-Down Road church

A man from Danielsville, Georgia, was arrested recently after he allegedly caused a disturbance in a church on Jot-Em-Down Road. William Robert Roy, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Officers Justin Hanley and Jason Ring were sent to Galilee Pentecostal Church, where they were told Roy had just left walking towards Highway 98.

They located him on Jot-Em-Down Road and asked him for identification. Roy then told them that he had a “spiritual awakening” and that the Holy Spirit came upon him in church. Hanley noticed that Roy had guitar picks attached to his fingers. He was patted down, handcuffed and then taken back to the church to meet with the complainants.

A witness stated that Roy came into the church to get a drink of water and then sat down. He then grabbed the Dobro guitar picks and began strumming on the guitar and picking his teeth with the guitar picks. Next he ripped a page out of a Bible that was sitting at the front of the church, all the while uttering strange statements.

The witness then escorted him out of the church because he felt the church might be in danger. Roy then left the churchyard walking, but stopped to beat on a telephone pole with a deck of cards, still uttering strange words.
