Mother bear protects her young following waterfall tumble

A mother grizzly bear was filmed rushing to the assistance of two of her cubs earlier this week. The dramatic scene was captured on Wednesday by cameras set up at the Brooks River falls in Alaska's Kamai National Park.

As she was trying to catch dinner, two of her young fell into the river and tumbled down the falls. She raced down the falls to rescue them, snapping at another bear with her powerful jaws who appeared to attempt to grab one of the cubs.
