A 62-year-old Florida woman discovered that kissing a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office sergeant on the nose can result in an arrest on Saturday. Peggy Hill, who lives in Bradenton , allegedly kissed a sheriff's sergeant who had come to her street regarding a dispute, according to the sheriff's office.
Given the circumstances surrounding the kiss, the deputy considered it a battery on his person The dispute ignited when Hill’s neighbour told authorities she had taken down part of his fence. Hill is reportedly accused of taking livestock from the same neighbour.
When Lamb advised Hill she was tampering with the neighbour, she allegedly became verbally abusive toward the sergeant and an assisting deputy. During the verbal altercation, Hill kissed the sergeant on the nose against his will, the deputy reported.
The sergeant stepped away from her, wiped the saliva from his nose and arrested Hill. She said the thought just popped into her mind to kiss the deputy on the nose rather than just walk away and avoid getting arrested. She is being held in lieu of $5000 bond and is scheduled for a July 19 court appearance.
