An 11-day-old foal that looks "a bit like David Bowie" caused a stir as visitors flocked to an animal sanctuary open day on Sunday.
The gates were thrown open to visitors to learn about the animals cared for by Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Brentwood, Essex. Hundreds enjoyed seeing an array of animals including llamas, peacocks, donkeys, rabbits, pigs and others up close.
The longest queue, however, was always for the sanctuary's latest addition, David Bowie lookalike, Leo, who has different coloured eyes (one brown one blue) like those of the singer.
"His blue eye is really striking," said glam-rock fan Chris Young, 42, from Billericay. "His eyes make him look a bit like David Bowie."
