Woman hospitalised after pet ferret caused her to be nearly run over by own car

A woman from Lincoln, Nebraska is recovering from her injuries after she was nearly run over by her own car on Friday morning.

Police responded just after 8am after a neighbour saw a car backing down a driveway, dragging the owner.



Investigators say the woman had reached into her car to grab her pet ferret when she accidentally hit the gear, shifting it into reverse.

The car stopped once it crossed the street and went up onto the opposite kerb. The woman was hospitalised with minor injuries.
