Man's testicles bitten off by his pet pitbull

A 30-year-old Italian man was rushed to hospital on Monday night after having his testicles mauled by one of his pet pitbulls.

The dog owner was found unconscious in his Milan apartment by firemen. He is thought to have been attacked by one of this two pitbulls.

His girlfriend raised the alarm after failing to hear from her boyfriend. The man, who suffers from diabetes, is now in a serious condition in hospital.

It is unclear whether the man’s diabetes caused him to lose consciousness before he was bitten, or whether the pain from the bite prompted him to collapse.

I'm sorry, but I keep expecting to see one of these stories featuring a schnauzer, or a poodle, or a dalmatian.

@ the Dachshund poster:

Point taken. I had heard that dackels could be mean, but I hadn't actually seen any stories.

Way to go, you found a story involving a non pitbull from 34 years ago. Unfortunately, these type of attacks by pitbulls are common. The recent study 'Mortality, Mauling, and Maiming by Vicious Dogs 2011' concluded that a person loses a body part to a pit bull attack every 5.4 days. Earlier this year a 2 day old baby had it's leg bitten off by the family pitbull http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/animal-rights/pit-bull-attack-2-day-old-baby-ariona-frostad-loses-part-leg another man had his toes chewed off by his pitbull http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2341447/Roger-Brown-Brazil-Indiana-man-wakes-bull-puppy-ate-2-toes.html and Linda henry lost both her arms after being attacked by pitbulls earlier this year. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2334412/Linda-Henry-dog-attack-Woman-lost-arms-eye-ear-calls-tougher-control-breed.html These incidents are all too common their isn't enough space to cite them all.
