Boogie, the dog who ran the Evansville Half-Marathon by mistake, has sadly passed away.
The eight-year-old Chocolate Labrador received a medal for running the race even though he was never entered.
Boogie ran away from home and joined the runners at the beginning and completed the 13.1 mile race in two hours and 15 minutes.
Boogie's family have said that he died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday.

I've always felt jogging was very bad for your health. That's why I'm staying on the sofa.
I can't disagree with you there.
This is why running a marathon without preparation is not recommended.
Too soon?
