Thieving teenager's private parts injected with acid

A teenager was brutally tortured by having acid injected into his private parts as punishment for theft in the Nalanda district of Bihar, northern India, police said on Saturday.

"Fourteen-year-old Mohammad Amir, working in a scrap shop, was tortured by the owner by pouring acid into his private parts yesterday on charge of stealing in his shop," Station House Officer (SHO) of Sohsarai police station Ravi Jyoti said.



The boy was first admitted to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital but later he was taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital.

The shop owner has been arrested and sent to jail, Jyoti said.
