Couple forced neighbours to strip then stole and cooked their food

A man and woman from Beaver County, Pennsylvania are facing over 20-different charges after police say they held victims in an apartment, forced them to strip naked, and at one point stole their food and cooked it. It’s a bizarre home invasion with so many twists and turns that it sounds like it just couldn’t be real. But police say it is.



The home invasion happened at the Riverview Terrace apartments in Rochester. It was inside Building 767, Apartment 23. One of the suspects lived right next door at 777, and it would end there. According to the criminal complaint: Phillip Robinson, 24, and his 21-year-old cousin, Nyquenna Owens, allegedly held several adults hostage along with a 16-year-old girl last Friday until Saturday. Robinson and Owens reportedly forced their way inside the apartment at 767 after knocking on the door.

Robinson had a gun, and at one point, according to the criminal complaint, allegedly threatened to blow everyone’s brains out. He and his cousin are also accused of punching, hitting and cutting several people with a knife and then forcing them all to remove their clothing. This happened because Owens was upset about the 16-year-old being in the apartment with only adults, according to the complaint. Owens reportedly asked the adults, “Why are you hanging out with a child?”



As the hours passed, Robinson and Owens stole food from the apartment, which included pierogies, two burgers and frozen broccoli. Then, Robinson and Owens told everyone to get dressed, and took them next door to Robinson’s place where the suspects cooked the food. By Saturday, all of the hostages were released. The 16-year-old girl went to police with her mother and reported what had happened. Robinson and Owens face 23 charges including kidnapping, imprisonment, assault and robbery. They are being held at the Beaver County Jail.
