Kleptomaniac cat belongs to detectives in the Metropolitan Police

A thieving cat has been getting her paws on a vast haul of stolen goods. Bluebell has been bringing plundered gifts home for Anji Thornton-Randall and her fiancé Andy Dawson, who just happen to be detectives in the Metropolitan Police. While most moggies proudly present birds and mice to their humans, this two-and-a-half-year-old has been hunting everything from pants to house keys.

Bluebell was a moving-in present to Miss Thornton-Randall from Mr Dawson, a Detective Sergeant with the Met’s burglary unit based in Uxbridge, when they moved into their home in Wokingham three years ago. Miss Thornton-Randall said: “Not long after she was with us, things kept going missing and then appearing in the house. Like the plug from the sink is loose, it doesn’t have a chain, and it went missing, we looked everywhere.

“Three days later there it was on the carpet outside the bedroom door. The same with Andy’s razor from the bathroom.” Bluebell then ventured further afield and as her home backs on to an industrial estate, a collection of workmen’s items found their way into the couple’s home including insulating tape and heavy duty gloves. Miss Thornton-Randall was once forced to go looking for her when she didn’t come home for hours, only to find her trapped in a warehouse having earlier set off its burglar alarms.

“She once brought back a Radley purse with someone’s door keys in it – we had to take it to the police station, ” added Miss Thornton-Randall. Bluebell’s haul includes a children’s cardigan, insulating tape, scarves, trainers, a medical face shield, beer cans, rugby ball, towels, purse with keys, rubber duck, knickers, sellotape, workmen’s gloves, odd socks, aerosols, coffee cups, drinks holders, zip-off hood from a child’s coat, plimsoll, children’s gloves, chemist bag and a flowerpot.

So two detectives do not take the hint after second or third time and keep the cat indoors?
Taking it to the extreme, what if someones emergency allergy-shot is taken and the person gets an allergic reaction?

Cute cat though
