Bizarrely, dozens of toilet rolls were among the huge hoard in Chorley, Lancashire.
Officers from Chorley Police discovered the haul on Saturday.
A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and has been bailed while enquiries continue.
