A man rubbed himself against a drinks trolley onboard a packed train while shouting "I want to kiss you, I want to f**k you", a court has heard. Passengers travelling on the train were left horrified after Andrew Davidson started simulating sex with the refreshments trolley on a journey between Aberdeen and Glasgow. The 25-year-old, who had taken a "legal high", also asked a member of staff if he could kiss her. She became so scared of his bizarre behaviour that she ran from the train when it stopped. He was earlier seen rubbing his chest, sticking his tongue out and shouting about what he wanted to do to his boyfriend. At Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, Fiscal depute John Malpass said: "The member of the train's hospitality staff was in the vestibule of the front carriage checking stock at about 5.45 pm.
"The accused had previously asked to purchase a can of beer from her but had been told she had run out. He approached again and tried to engage her in conversation. Just prior to arriving in Dundee station he asked if he could kiss her and she said no. This was heard by passengers who were concerned for her safety. One passenger, who had his child with him, decided to keep an eye on the situation. The train stopped and the accused was seen placing his hands on a female passenger leaving the train. The staff member was standing opposite the accused and he grabbed her right arm. He said he was going to kiss her and she broke free. He tried to pull her closer and embrace her but she managed to break free and left the train, leaving her trolley and cash float behind. The accused was then seen trying to sit on the lap of a female passenger, before falling onto his face. He was heard to shout 'd**k, c**k, b**w-job.'
"He was rubbing his chest, sticking his tongue out and shouting about what he wanted to do to his boyfriend. He got back to his feet. He then approached the unattended trolley and started rubbing himself against the trolley, shouting 'I want to kiss you. I want to f**k you.' The court was told that British Transport Police were waiting for Davidson in Perth. They found him lying face down near the train door. He did not remember any of the incident. Davidson, from Letham, Angus, admitted causing fear and alarm in Dundee and on a train journey between Dundee and Perth on 5 July. He admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, grabbing a staff member's arm and trying to kiss her, shouting and swearing and making sexually offensive remarks and gestures. He was placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
Davidson's solicitor Paul Ralph said: "He had taken what was thought by him to be a legal high. That's what he was under the influence of when this happened. I suspect the court will want reports. A report will show that he is not heterosexual and will perhaps give some insight into his bizarre behaviour." Sheriff Michael Fletcher said: "The information I heard from the Crown makes me think there is a significant sexual element to this." He said he would defer sentence for reports until the New Year and placed Davidson on the Sex Offenders Register while he is awaiting sentence. In a letter to the court, Davidson said: "I really can't remember anything that happened. I am disgusted with my behaviour. I'm very sorry."
