Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said: "A 30-year-old female was seen hitting a lady who was stripped of her clothes outside McDonalds in Katherine".
The naked woman was then hit with a pair of flip flops.
"The lady, the victim, put her clothes back on and walked away from police when police approached," Supt Jorgensen said. The alleged flip flop-slapper has been remanded in custody.
