Man accused of assaulting wife with turkey neck

A 49-year-old Florida man is facing battery charges after deputies say he assaulted his wife with a turkey neck.

Michael Mullady of Spring Hill in Hernando County was released on $1,000 bond and was told by a judge he cannot have contact with his wife.



According to an arrest report, Mullady got into a verbal argument with his wife on Thursday. Deputies say Mullady was upset he could not have possession of the couple's cheque book and began breaking things in their kitchen.

Mullady's wife began walking to the other side of the home when she was reportedly hit in the neck with a turkey neck that her husband threw at her. Deputies say Mullady admitted to throwing the turkey neck at his wife, but apparently does not recall hitting his wife on the neck with the turkey neck.
