Witness threw sledgehammer at driver after truck hit horse

A 19-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma in fair condition after the horse he was riding on was struck by a truck.

Police said the collision took place in North Tulsa just before 6:30pm on Sunday.

In retaliation, a fight broke out and a resident nearby threw a sledgehammer through the back window of the truck, TPD Sgt. Michael Brown said.

According to police, the man in the truck declined to press charges against the person who threw the sledgehammer. No other injuries were reported. A police officer on scene called it a "bizarre thing."
