Bus stop blamed for garden voyeurs

A woman in Jersey has called for a bus stop to be moved as people are "taking photos" of her in her pool. Sharon Lovett, of St Brelade, said the problem began when double decker buses were introduced in 2010.

She said: "Realistically one step would be to move the bus stop so it does not invade people's privacy." Tristen Dodd from the transport department said: "The problem with bus stops is that when you move them, it may be outside a house next door." Mrs Lovett said the biggest problem was people taking photos of her and her grandchildren in the swimming pool.

She said: "You see the cameras come out and you see them run to the back of the bus, to the big window so they can get a better shot. There were no vehicles that could see over the wall when we moved in. We took it into consideration because we knew the house was on a main road. We knew nothing could look over this wall. It was also only single decker buses when we moved in.

"But then they introduced the double deckers and now it is double decker buses every 20 minutes seven days a week in both ways." Constable of St Brelade, Steve Pallett, said this was the first complaint about double deckers he had heard. "I am sure there is something that TTS can do in terms of the bus stop, but it would be sad if we had to lose the double deckers off the route. They are a big part of the tourism season."

Was there something left out of this article, like maybe the complainant is a nudist?

Why should the bus stop be moved..... if they can afford a swimming pool in their garden, they can afford to add a few bricks to the top of the wall?
