Police appeal in attempt to reunite haul of stolen garden gnomes with their owners

Police have appealed for the owners of gnomes believed to have been taken from Aberdeenshire gardens to come forward.

A total of 33 gnomes and garden ornaments were recovered from a vehicle that was stopped in the Banff area early on Thursday.

Police Scotland said they were believed to have been taken from a variety of addresses overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

Anyone who is missing a gnome is asked to contact Police Scotland.
