Man admits killing cat during sexual ritual in garage

The sadistic killing of his cat in a bizarre sexual ritual could mean jail for a man from Calgary, Canada. Crown lawyer Gord Haight said he will be seeking “a significant period of jail,” when Steven Edward Alcorn’s sentencing hearing proceeds in August. Haight did not specify how much custody he’ll be asking for Alcorn.

Alcorn was to face a sentencing hearing this week, but a psychological report ordered by provincial court Judge Brian Stevenson was not ready. Alcorn earlier pleaded guilty to a criminal charge of causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal in connection with an incident at his Calgary home.

During an earlier plea hearing, Crown prosecutor Joe Mercier told Stevenson about a bizarre incident in which Alcorn and his girlfriend used the cat in a sexual ritual. Mercier said Alcorn and his “on-again/off-again” girlfriend obtained the feline through the Kijiji internet ad site after “they had spoken about a matter dealing with a cat.”

They kept the animal for a couple of days before the couple “were going to engage in a sexual-type activity” in their garage, he told court. “The cat was strung up by its back legs over a rafter in the garage,” Mercier said. “A tarp was put down on the floor,” he said. The girlfriend “was down on all fours and Mr. Alcorn cut the cat’s throat and the cat bled on (her) and was part of a sexual ritual.” Alcorn returns to court on Aug. 22.

Why isn't the girlfriend charged as well?

That is a good question. Rarely is the girlfriend/wife charged in these sort of events. Even in cases of child rape the woman often times gets painted as a victim of the man's evil cunning ways and gets a reduced sentence if any at all

That doesn't make sense, Dylan Moran.
Anyway, from the information given my decision is that they both get a choice of a minimum of 18 years in jail or death by being strung up over a rafter and bleeding to death from a throat cut.
