Miniskirt-wearing man who set fire to bank suspect in two other fires

A man police say wore a miniskirt while setting fire to a bank in Cedar Park, Texas, may have set fire to two other nearby businesses. Cedar Park police said fires at an insurance agency and a chiropractic clinic were similar to an arson on Sunday at Lone Star Bank.

Investigators said they are “confident” a fire set a Calhoun Chiropractic Wellness Clinic on March 16 was set by the same individual who set a carpet on fire inside the bank. The third related fire occurred at One Stop Financial on March 1. All three businesses are with about a half-mile radius of each other. In all three cases, police found evidence that a person had broken into the business.

Police also found evidence that a flammable liquid was used in the fire at the chiropractic clinic. Police continue to investigate a fourth fire set at an auto repair shop on Tuesday, but could not definitively say it was connected. The suspect is a male in his late teens or early 20s.

During the Lone Star Bank fire he was caught on surveillance video wearing a miniskirt, a black beanie style hat, a dark jacket, black tennis shoes and a T-shirt with an “S” shaped pattern that may have been a dragon. Police would not comment on the motive for the fires, but did say it appears the suspect has little concern about the visibility of the crimes, choosing targets in high traffic areas.
