Staff at a restaurant in Malvern, Worcestershire, had a nasty shock when they found a man wearing nothing but a tablecloth inside a cupboard.
Police were called to the Indian restaurant in Church Street at about 12.30pm on Saturday, August 2.
The man in his 20s is reported to have spent the night in the cupboard and was covered in his own waste.
He was described as “in a confused state” and became verbally abusive towards staff and was arrested for threatening verbal behaviour and criminal damage.
As part of a Community Resolution Order the man apologised for his behaviour and bought cleaning products to clean up the mess he had left.
Staff at both Indian restaurants in Church Street, Malvern – Anupam and Cafe Zam Zam – have denied any knowledge of the incident.
