Controversy over tour guide hand and mouth feeding alligators chicken and marshmallows
A Lousiana swamp boat tour guide may be in trouble after feeding a pair of wild alligators.
A tourist on the tour captured the moment when the guide leapt into the water and proceeded to feed two gators with chicken before offering them marshmallows from his lips last month.
Stacy Hicks said that the guide had told them to get their cameras ready and that she was concerned about his safety after hearing he'd been bitten a few days beforehand.

Man arrested after trying to trade salad for oral sex with undercover police officer
Short on cash, a 29-year-old Florida man allegedly offered to provide a salad to a prostitute in exchange for oral sex, according to police.
Alonzo Liverman was arrested on Monday morning during a reverse sting that netted nine other men for soliciting a prostitute. The prostitutes in question were actually undercover Daytona Beach Police Department officers. While negotiating a liaison with a female officer, Liverman, who was “operating a bicycle”, revealed that he did not have any money.
“I’m hungry, you got food?” the undercover officer asked. Liverman replied, “I got a salad,” according to a booking affidavit. “I’ll give you a blow job for a salad,” the undercover officer declared. Liverman replied, “You ready to go?” The document does not detail the location of Liverman’s salad (or its street value).

Liverman was arrested because he and the officer “agreed upon the sexual act in exchange for food,” investigators reported. During a court appearance on Tuesday, Liverman, a Daytona Beach resident, pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge (for which he was found guilty by a Circuit Court judge). Liverman was sentenced to two days in jail and fined $500.

63-year-old vandal led police on short chase on child's scooter after spray-painting police station
A 63-year-old man will face court this month accused of spraying the walls of Kingscliff police station in New South Wales, Australia, with graffiti after riding there on a child's scooter.
Just after 2.20am on Wednesday, two police officers walked out of the station on Marine Pd after hearing noises. Tweed Byron LAC crime commander Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen said the man had spray painted a CCTV camera before taking to the walls with various slogans, including "Dumb Cops" and "Kingy Boyz Rule".
Insp Cullen said said a scuffle took place between the officers and the man, after he was chased several hundred metres. Insp Cullen said one of the officer involved will be off work for over a week due to shoulder injuries. The man was charged with assaulting and resisting police, malicious damage and possessing house-breaking implements.

Insp Cullen said the man's motives weren't clear. "The actions we're alleging are quite irrational, particularly with police being in the building at the time," he said. He said police also seized the man's scooter. The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Tweed Heads Court on June 30.

Dog breeders surprised at birth of green puppies
A pair of dog breeders in the Spanish province of Valladolid were surprised recently when two puppies were born green.
"I couldn't believe it when I first saw them," Aida Vallelado Molina said.
"I thought the puppies were dirty and tried to clean them, but the colour wouldn't come off," said Molina, who breeds hunting dogs with her father in the town of Laguna de Duero.

The animals, born on June 3rd, were smaller and weaker than the other pups in the litter. One of them, a female, died shortly after birth while the male pup is still alive, but very weak. He is now beginning to lose his pigment.

The cause of the death of the dead puppy, and the reason for its odd colouring, are now being investigated by local vet Daniel Valverde. "There are no other recorded cases of this happening in Spanish scientific literature," he said after contacting Madrid's Complutense University. Valverde is now carrying out virological and bacteriological tests to try and find an answer.

Woman shocked at the theft of her 60-foot brick wall
Thieves pretended to be builders before dismantling a wall to steal handmade bricks dating back to the 1890s.
The gang even wore high visibility jackets to knock down the wall in the Westcliff suburb of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, before loading the bricks on a truck and driving off.
A neighbour even offered the gang a broom to help tidy up, thinking the owners had hired the men to do the work.
Shocked Leigh O’Shea, who is doing up the house and garden of the property, said: “At first I thought someone had reversed into the wall and it had collapsed but then I saw the bricks had gone, apart from some broken ones and a lot of rubble. I just couldn’t believe it. It seems ridiculous that something can be there for more than 100 years and they just come and take it.” Leigh, 56, is doing up the property, which has lain empty for 15 years.
She brought a friend along to have a look at what she had done so far, but found the wall had been taken. She said: “A man nearby said he saw the two people who did it loading the bricks on to a yellow lorry with a flat back between 11am and 11.30am. They started at about 10am. He assumed I’d hired them to take it down. He handed them a broom because he didn’t think they had cleared up very well.” It is estimated the bricks, which were handmade in 1890, are worth up to £4,000 as the wall measured about 60ft long.
Ms O’Shea had been working since Boxing Day with her family to clear the overgrown garden and rubbish both inside and outside the former antique shop and flat, before she and three of her children move in. She added: “Doing up this house was one of those dreams you have. The opportunity to buy it came up and I thought it was now or never. I am just so angry that people should do this, how dare they come and take it? I work really hard and what I have I have got myself. I can’t afford to pay builders, I am planning to do as much work as I can myself and with my children’s help.” Essex Police are investigating the incident, which happened on June 5.

Distressed woman having trouble sleeping after her beloved tree was chopped down by mistake
A distressed woman is having trouble sleeping after her beloved tree was chopped down by mistake.
Yildiz Doherty, 72, from West Ewell in Surrey, said an evergreen tree in her front garden was felled by Rosebery Housing Association a week ago.
Mrs Doherty said: "They took my healthy beautiful tree. I can’t sleep at night, it was a beautiful tree. I loved the tree, all my neighbours loved it. They were so sorry for the tree to go." She said Rosebery Housing Association had admitted to the mistake and offered to replace her tree.

But she said: "The people working in the housing association do not have the decency to see me. I don’t want this ugly part left there with the tree stump sticking out." A Rosebery spokeswoman said she had reassured Mrs Doherty that they are doing everything they can to arrange for the removal of the tree stump this week.
She said: "Mrs Doherty’s tree was taken down by mistake by one of our contractors. We understand that the tree meant a lot to her and we’ve been in touch to apologise. We are doing our best to have the stump removed as quickly as possible. Once it’s gone, we will replace it with a tree of Mrs Doherty’s choice."
