A daily mish-mash of stuff, fluff and nonsense
Seals are known as the dogs of the sea. =D
The Hebrew name for a seal is "sea dog" (כֶּלֶב יָם)
That's fascinating. Seals are called Sea Dogs in Mandarin too.
The Portland Maine minor league baseball team are also called the Sea Dogs. :)
That's a sea lion, so a sea cat rather than a sea dog...
That's a sea lion, not a seal. Unlike seals, sea lions have elbows, also ears. But I think that in Hebrew it's all kelev yam, sea dog, there's no separate word for this separate species.
Woo I learned something new today.
cheesiest grin EVER.
