The anti-redhead graffiti was scrawled in pink spray paint on the B3227 between the villages of Chittlehampton and Holsworthy.
The offensive slogan was left shortly after it was announced a Ginger Pride festival would be held next summer in Devon.
In London, Redhead Day UK, which promises to be a "gingertastic all-day event" will take place in Islington on September 12.
