Police urge residents not to view contents of mysterious CDs left in the street

Police in Buckinghamshire are urging residents not to view the contents of mysterious CDs left in the street in Amersham and Chesham. A number of CDs were found in the street and in flowerbeds. The discs are printed with the same symbols and police are investigating the content.

Officers have so far recovered around ten CDs, all of which are being investigated by detectives from Chiltern and South Bucks Local CID, who are advising people not to upload the CDs to look at the content but to hand them into police instead. PC Paul Bridgeworth, from Chiltern and South Bucks Local CID, said: “I would urge anyone who receives, or finds, one of these discs not to open them on their computer or laptop, but to either contract us or to hand it in to their nearest police station.

“The disc contains writing and a symbolic cross in black. As part of our investigation, we are liaising with specialist officers and departments from within our Force to try and establish the exact content of these CDs and any associated risks. We are very alive to the fact that there is a lot of talk regarding these CDs being found and their possible content; however this is not something I can confirm at this time.

“Until we establish the full facts, people should not attempt to view the CDs in fear of a possible virus or any other inappropriate material surfacing. We will endeavour to keep you posted of any significant developments as we appreciate people’s concerns.” Police are asking anyone who has received a disc or have any information which could assist their investigation, despite how trivial it may seem, to contact Chiltern and South Bucks Local CID.

"The Ring" ? Are there any actual rumors of the CD contents you can share?

There are rumours that the CDs contain a 'violent snuff movie' showing people being slaughtered with chainsaws and hammers.

The disc is upside down in the photo. The writing is Hebrew. The large word on the bottom is Jehovah.
