Carnage as train smashed through store window

The All Smiles Aboard Trackless Train made an unscheduled stop inside the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio, on Thursday afternoon after smashing through a window at the Game Stop store

The accident occurred as the miniature train lurched forward while a mechanic was making repairs to the out-of-service vehicle, according to Cafaro Company spokesman Joe Bell.

No one was on board the train at the time, including the mechanic, and no one inside the Game Stop store was hurt. The engine went about two feet inside the store, damaging the window on the store front. The store was forced to close while it was repaired.

Bell said the mechanic has been told that he is no longer allowed to do repairs on the train inside the Eastwood Mall. The mechanic was very apologetic about the accident, he said. The trackless train offers rides for children and their parents around the mall during business hours. Bell said the train has been operating for four years in the mall without an accident.
