A hole measuring seven inches wide has appeared in Hillary Way, Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
Resident Helen Wright, 35, said the hole appeared at the entrance to the road a couple of weeks ago.
She said: “It started out the size of a 50p piece but it’s now a big problem since we have many children and elderly people living around here.
“Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon.”
Oxfordshire County Council said they intended to get the hole filled as soon as possible.

Oxford city council will look into it. Then give themselves another raise.
With all the sinkholes appearing all over the world, I find this very concerning. They probably won't do anything until an accident occurs, which I hope doesn't happen.
