After a burglary suspect in Michigan rampaged through a house, knocking over a tray of cupcakes and other items, police had little trouble tying her to the crime.
Police found her a couple of blocks away, drunk, covered in cake and icing (frosting).
Alpena Police responded early on Sunday to a report of a possible breaking and entering of a house.
The homeowner reported hearing a commotion, then found an unknown woman inside the house. The woman quickly fled.
The homeowner reported that a tray of cupcakes and several other items had been knocked down or broken.
Alpena Police and Michigan State Police troopers began looking in the area for the woman.
State police spotted her a few blocks from where the break-in occurred.
She was described as "highly intoxicated and had cupcake frosting and cake all over her torso and legs," a police report said.
The woman was taken to the Alpena County Jail on charges of unlawful entry and malicious destruction of property, Alpena police said
