New Russian rage room offers stress relief

Stressed residents of Moscow now have a new remedy for letting off steam and get rid of any pent-up stress.

For a price, they have the opportunity to take a sledgehammer and literally trash a room, which looks just like a Soviet-era flat.

The general idea is simple: you pay money to walk into an environment where you can safely trash the space. Psychologists link rage to the inability to reach certain goals and agree that a build-up of frustration is dangerous for one’s mental health.

Venting out in a guarded environment is seen as an alternative way to let off steam. The entrepreneurs behind the rage room, however, claim that they are a form of entertainment only, not a form of mental health therapy.
