A Florida woman arrested on drug charges was passed out in her car at a local convenience store for so long on Saturday morning that a spider had made a web from the vehicle to the gas pump, police said.
Employees at the Cumberland Farms store on US Highway 441 called police at about 3:44am because it appeared a woman was sleeping in her running car at one of the gas pumps.
Melissa Ann Herrick, 35, of Leesburg, was awakened and told a police officer that she had fallen asleep because she had been working all day.
When asked what the white powder was on the car’s driver seat, Herrick responded it was methamphetamine but someone else had left it there.
Another officer found a used syringe and two metal spoons in an envelope on the passenger’s seat and a small amount of marijuana in the driver’s side door panel, according to the affidavit.
Herrick eventually pulled another bag of meth from her bra, police said.
She was charged with possessing a controlled substance, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
