In scenes mirroring Simon Pegg's spoof cop film Hot Fuzz, officers had to deal with the swan.
The swan had wandered on to the carriageway at Colney, near Norwich, at about 10:50am on Wednesday.
A policeman from Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing Unit grappled with the bird before taking it to a “safer location”.
