A woman and a rabbit escaped serious injuries after the car the woman was driving crashed through a fence and into a bank in Tauweru, New Zealand, on Sunday.
The 24-year-old had been travelling with a rabbit in a cage on the passenger seat.
Senior Constable Harvey Pope said the woman had crossed the centre line while coming down a hill just before 11.30am.
She over-corrected to get back on to the correct side of the road and had gone through a fence and into a bank.
"Then the car did a quarter turn and came to rest in the middle of the road ."
Mr Pope said the vehicle had been blocking both lanes, but because it was a small car traffic could go around.
"The rabbit was okay," Mr Pope said.
"She [the woman] just had cuts and bruises. She will be sore probably but she was wearing a seat belt so that's good."
