Spanish hairdresser Alberto Olmedo has eschewed scissors in favour of swords and fire.
From his salon in Campamento, in the south of Madrid, Olmedo uses age old traditions.
"People have been using small daggers to cut hair for hundreds of years," he says.

"I’m practically using primitive tools: fire, swords, it’s a bit medieval.
Sometimes you have to use a bit of your imagination just to get positive results," he added.

Imagine what the shop must smell like if he burns hair in it every day.

The reason that people don't do this anymore is because better tools were made. There is no way I would ever let anybody put my hair on fire.
Yeah, that's not going to backfire on someone someday...
