Residents of West Kilbride and Portencross in Ayrshire, Scotland, are unhappy as heartless vandals continue to ruin donated benches under the cover of night.
Angry Audrey Kolon, who first highlighted the matter last October, said that there has been a repeated occurrence over recent weeks.
She said: "The bench is without it's backrest slats which were removed. This is the fourth bench to be vandalised, the 1st one, which was in the Glen, had to be removed as it was so badly damaged and only a pile of debris remained.
"The 2nd was the one situated on the beach path adjacent to the West Kilbride Golf course, the 3rd also on this beach path has also damage, albeit a piece of the arm cut off!
Now this 4th bench at the crossroads of WK /Portencross road on the A78/7048 where you would have assumed due to the amount of traffic should have been safe from vandals.
"I am at a loss to understand why."
The West Kilbride Civic Society purchased the benches for the benefit of everyone in the community.
Anyone who has any information concerning the vandalism, or has seen anything suspicious, is being asked to contact the police.
