Woman rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in hedge

A woman needed to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a privet hedge on Sunday morning.

The woman, in her 50s, was walking in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, at around 8.20am, when she fell into the hedge.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called, as well as Yorkshire Ambulance, to help the woman who had become trapped in the hedge.

Fire crews assisted the ambulance colleagues to release the person using small tools before leaving her in the hands of paramedics. An ambulance then took her to Harrogate and District Hospital.
