Police hunt knifeman wearing knitted elephant mask who stole money from wine merchants

Thames Valley Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery on Saturday night.



A man wearing a knitted green elephant mask with a pink trunk stole money from a wine merchants in Eynsham, Oxfordshire.

The man, who was caught on CCTV, threatened a shop assistant with a knife and demanded money from Eynsham Cellars. He stole cash before fleeing on a bicycle.



The victim was unharmed. The robber is white, 6ft 2ins and of medium or slim build. He was also wearing a thick black coat, skiing gloves, grey jogging bottoms and white hi-top trainers with red stripes.
