A mystery utility company could not be bothered to repaint a full bus stop sign after a road was dug up and re-tarmacked.
The work was carried out earlier this week by the bus stop outside the Village Bakery on Coed Aben Road in Wrexham, Wales.
Only the replacement tarmac was repainted. A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: “This is not the work of Wrexham Council employees but down to the work of a utility company.
“We have made them aware of our dissatisfaction as to how they have left the state of the road and have asked them to address the obvious problem that has been left by their workmen.”

How the hell can you make that kind of error? Not even if you're hopped up on drugs would you make that kind of muck-up.
I'm wondering if the guy painting that didn't have a stroke or some kind of mental thing where he or she visually completed the sign mentally and didn't realize it was incomplete.
Just--wow!

It's not an error, Lurker111, it's a jobsworth attitude.
They're only legally required to repaint any part of a road that they've dug up and relaid.
And that's exactly what they've done.
I don't think they should have repainted the whole crossing. It was obviously poorly marked before this disturbance.
@Arbroath: Thanks for the explanation. Still seems rather dickish. I mean, I'm sure it would have just killed the contractor to finish the U and the two S's, even if they didn't want to provide a contrasting black background.

I completely agree with you, Lurker111.
