Happy ending for dog with head stuck in wall

People in the rural Peruvian town of San Martin helped rescue a dog whose head became stuck in a wall.





The dog, nicknamed "Nikki", became trapped when searching for food in a canal on Wednesday.





Nikki got lost in the canal and tried to escape through a hole that was just big enough for her head to poke through.

Struggling under the hot sun, she was eventually able to slide her head back out of the hole after local residents used a drill to open it up. She walked away with no reported injuries.
