A Florida woman was arrested on Tuesday after she forced her way into an apartment, attacked the resident and threatened to have her macaw parrot “get him,” according to a police report.
Mary Grace Peck, 50, from Boca Raton, is facing charges of burglary with assault or battery and battery.
The dispute began in an apartment building. Peck allegedly got in an elevator with the 54-year-old man and began yelling obscenities at him.
Peck followed the man out of the elevator and into his apartment before he had a chance to close the door, the report said. After several requests, Peck left but then forced her way back into the apartment again after the victim began recording her on his cell phone.
A Boca Raton police officer watched the video and saw Peck kick the man’s door and strike him on the hand.
“In addition, (Peck) was telling her (macaw) parrot to get him,” a Boca Raton officer wrote in the report.
The man told police he hit the woman on the lip in order to get her to stop the attack.
Peck told police she didn’t recall the incident when they went to her home.
She is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $16,000 bail.
