A Mount Washington woman called police on Jan. 28 when she came home to find a package gift-wrapped with red bows and pink tissue paper.
She suspected that the package was from her former boyfriend, who had recently been released from incarceration and had been leaving her photos of the two of them with her face destroyed.
Inside the package police found the severed head of a black, 12 to 16-week-old kitten and a note reading, "I love you, Your Ben."
Police arrested Benjamin Gregory, 30, of Aliquippa for charges of stalking and cruelty to animals.
