A woman spent nine hours trapped 30 metres (100 feet) above the ground in the canopy of a tree in southern Australia after she crash-landed her paraglider.
Police and emergency services were called to assist the woman after she crashed into the tree near Mount York, some 300 kilometres (185 miles) northeast of Melbourne, shortly after 2:00 pm (0300 GMT) on Saturday.
The officers arrived at the scene about four hours later "but due to the situation were unable to get the woman down", a statement from Victorian Police said.
A search and rescue unit was then dispatched to the scene from Melbourne.
The woman eventually reached the ground after one member of the unit climbed the tree and brought her down during a 90-minute operation.
