Indian man 'Bobbitised' for affair with married woman

An extramarital affair took an ugly turn when the husband and two brothers of a woman bobbitised her married lover. The incident occurred on Thursday in the Loni area of Ghaziabad, but came to light only Sunday when the family members of the man, who were out of town when the attack occurred, lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the police, Rajesh Kumar, a married man with a daughter, was having an extramarital affair with a 19-year-old married woman Smriti who lived in his neighbourhood in Rajeev Garden colony of Loni.

“On discovering their affair, the woman’s husband Pramod and her two brothers strongly objected to this and asked her to stop seeing the man. But, when this didn’t happen, they asked Rajesh himself to snap all ties with the woman. But still, the affair between Rajesh and the Smriti continued,” said Vinod Sharma, the girl’s neighbour, also known to Rajesh.

After threatening Rajesh earlier of dire consequences, Smriti’s husband, brothers and two other accomplices went to his house Thursday night and attacked him with a sharp weapon, the police said.

The group after gaining entry into the house, bobbitised Rajesh and stabbed him in the stomach and face. A heavily bleeding Rajesh was found on Friday morning by the neighbours, who took him to the hospital, the police said. Rajesh is said to be in critical condition.

“We demand strong action against the culprits. This was not a way to express objection to anything. The matter could have been sorted out peacefully by informing senior members of both families,” Rajesh’s brother Raj Kumar said.
