A horse caused traffic chaos in Paris when it escaped its rider, a republican guard, after rearing up and throwing him off. The horse, named Garibaldi then proceeded to race along the River Seine.
Police cars followed the horse through the city for 15 minutes, as it crossed several busy intersections before they were finally able to stop him. The police said the horse suffered slight injuries after falling several times during its escapade.
