Lorry driver fails to notice car

Allegedly recorded on the A1 near Wetherby, a truck driver apparently failed to spot a Renault Clio stuck to his front bumper.

Somehow, I don't think this is a viral for transport company, Arclid.

Oh my god! Can you imagine the utter terror of the poor guy in the car?

...And it is so bizarre that the dudes in the car with the vid don't even think about trying to stop the truck themselves...

:-P *DONT_KNOW* =-O

I need to know more!
Got any info on that?!

Yeah, I wondered that myself.  Surely you'd be blasting your horn and doing everything you can to get the truck driver's attention, not to mention using your phone to call the police rather than take a video!

Rather suspect. What's it doing in the fast lane?

way too risky for a viral or as a stunt - what if the car tips over...
unfortunately this seems real...
many years ago, used to drive lorries from time to time (field manager in event business, road shows & i have such a driving licence) : it is indeed "impossible" from the driver's seat to see a car "there"
:(

And the lorry wouldn't be slowed down by the car it has to push sideways? I find that hard to believe.

Also, why can't I seem to find a single reference to this in the news anywhere? Something like this wouldn't be picked up by any news channel anywhere?

Once a car starts to slide on it's tires, really ther isn't that much resistance.

You can try it yourself if you don't have a car with ABS especially on wet tarmac - Once you apply the brakes real hard so you block the wheels, you glide way to much and to far.....

So yes I do believe that the scenario is plausible- One sleepy lorrydriver possibly with very loud music or a very interesting phonetalk- eys fixed on the horizon of his destination far away and just the incredibility of something stuck in front of you- Yep, that could take some time to sink in.

But he will be shocked afterwards and most likely he'll have a lot of problems explaining that to both the cops, his victims and his boss..... :-P

Turns out the news have picked up on it after all and it is a real incident. I believe it now.

Yes it's all over the news organisations now.

They took their time. ;)
