The victim, who worked for McKinsey, was returning from a night out at a Mayfair club and was on the phone to his girlfriend when he was knocked out with a single blow. CCTV cameras captured Connor then stamping on his head twice before telling his friend William Paton, also 20, to go through the dying man’s pockets.
The men used the cash to pay for a prostitute before taking the train home to Kent. They were convicted of murder and robbery by a jury at the Old Bailey in Central London on Friday. Rebecca Bott, Dr Gulamhuseinwala’s girlfriend whom he met while training to be a surgeon, sobbed as the verdicts were delivered.

When he was a young boy Connor’s face appeared on Angel Delight packets above the phrase “Instant dessert for Little Angels”. The court heard that it meant he was bullied mercilessly at school, was accused of being gay and in his teens took an overdose. Shortly before the murder last year he had tried to join the Army but failed the medical because of his history of self-harm. Connor and Paton will be sentenced next week.

This is a sad and disturbing story. I hope the victim's family will get justice. I also don't know why the court seems to be using the fact that the perpetrator was bullied as a child, as some sort of defense or explanation. Numerous people have been bullied, and they don't end up as murderers.
