Brothers, 5 and 7, hack criminal to death

Two Indian boys aged five and seven reportedly hacked to death a wanted criminal after recognising him from police reports.

The young brothers marched into a police station in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, in blood-drenched clothes before declaring: "Humne Mahendra ko maar dala (We have killed Mahendra).”

Stunned lawmen drove the boys to a nearby orchard where the pair led them to the alleged fugitive's butchered corpse.

Officers spoke with the boys' father, who confirmed that the pair had killed the career criminal, who was being hunted by police over unspecified offences.

It's believed the two boys had been helping their father, who worked as a security guard at a farm, when they came across the alleged criminal and recognised him.

Local villagers confirmed that the two boys had carried out the killing themselves.

Uummm...good thing it wasn't somebody who looked like Mahendra. And how were they able to overpower him? This story kind of creeps me out.

What kind of criminal was this?

Doesn't matter.  Now there are two extra murderers running around.  Any child who can hack someone to death is scary!

Yes I agree, how did they overpower him?? Quite scary and sad that children of that age think like that.

More likely it was their dad who killed him and he has then got his kids to take the rap/kudos.
