Stuck robber calls 911 after failed burglary attempt

A robber in South Boston was forced to call 911 himself after getting stuck while attempting to break into a shop in South Boston.

After using all his cunning by manoeuvring a number of bins to shield his attempted break-in from prying eyes, the robber's entrance proved to be less effective.

The unfortunate individual bent the bars protecting the window before kicking in the protective plexi glass. Unfortunately for the criminal, he either underestimated his own weight or the size of the hole, and climbed in before getting stuck halfway in.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday morning, was caught on the shop's security camera. Officers were alerted to the scene, assuming that an individual was in trouble, though found out that the robber had in fact called 911 himself after thrashing around inside the store for over half an hour.

"He either underestimated his own weight or [overestimated] the size of the hole."

Clearly, he did not underestimate the size of the hole.
