Teenagers broke into Chinese restaurant and cooked chicken gizzards

Two 14-year-old boys were arrested on Saturday night for breaking into a Chinese restaurant and cooking chicken gizzards, police said.

“I guess they couldn't find any money so they decided to cook some food,” Gainesville Police Lt. Jorge Campos said.

The suspects were arrested at China House, at 1512 NE Eighth Ave., at about 11:50 p.m. and charged with burglary and petit theft.

Campos said the cases would go through juvenile court and that the suspects had been arrested at least twice in the past few months for theft and burglary.
